Still So Excited about this printing thing. Seriously, Santa had better put some ink in my stocking, because I will surely fall into a pit of despair if I lose the ability to print out my Project Life pages. I know Jason must be sick of me attacking him at the front door with my album to look at when he comes home. Not that he needs to look at them, because I’ve already sent picture texts with the entire process.
Anyway.
I didn’t bother taking pictures of the album itself. That part just does not excite me. And I think it’s redundant, really. So unless I have some awesome inserts, I’ll probably just throw up my digital pages and be done.
I will freely admit that the design for this week was heavily inspired (i.e. blatantly copied from) this one by Elise Blaha Cripe. That’s the one good thing about being slightly behind, you can get ideas from other people who are doing the same thing. Elise and I, and a ton of other people, have committed to running a mile a day every day from Thanksgiving until New Year’s Day. I see the raised eyebrows out there. No I’m not actually running. I’m walking, sometimes along with my Leslie Sansone videos, sometimes with Jason around the complex, sometimes (okay once) by myself in the gym. Out of the 27 days so far, I’ve only missed about three days. I forget to take pictures some days, so I don’t know exactly. But I’m pretty freakin proud of myself. I’m setting myself up for great habits to come in 2013.
I think I could take 500 pictures of MK under the tree and never get sick of it. I had a ton of little things that didn’t have pictures to talk about this week (Thank you Momento app!) So I wrote up a little This Week card. The rest of the first page is taken up with mile a day feet pics, silly quote, me trying to get more protein in my breakfasts, what I’m listening to, and the weather, which is still really warm.
The second page is a few more feet pictures, plus Excedrin after a really hard fast walk the day before. Random kitty pic, a visit with friends, finally getting pictures of our family into the family tree frames. (We enjoyed looking at the stock photos for a week or two before I got ours printed. A long arduous process and I’m SO happy it’s finished). I put in a text that Jason sent me about his morning. I don’t know what half of it means, but he might enjoy looking at it one day. On the bottom there’s a collage of random Instagrams. Making soup and cornbread, My first meat pastry in months, our first Christmas card from Jason’s mom, putting up lights, and my fantastically awesome heart that my sister gave me when we were in Nashville. It has one of our inside jokes engraved on it. The last card lists out our big errand day that week.
I did print out our Three Times Twelve photo to put in between the pages this week. Not sure what I want to do with the other side of the insert yet. Maybe a collage of pictures that didn’t make it into the album. I’m really thinking of getting these dividers for the months next year. Does anybody have them? What do you think? I’ll have to cut them down and punch new wholes to make them fit my album but I’m ok with that.
I’m so excited to start next year’s album! I am actually grateful for all the problems and issues I’ve had doing this year’s PL. It’s forced me to make changes and try new things. I’m still adapting and changing. I’m thinking of things I want to do for 2013.
The Seafoam digital kit came out this week and I’m still on the fence about whether or not to use it. This is nothing against the kit itself. I don’t like the new digital kit site that Becky’s using. It doesn’t use PayPal like Jessica Sprague’s did, and I just don’t feel comfortable putting my cc info on a brand new site like that. I did try to buy it anyway, but had technical difficulties during checkout. The AC digitals customer service is very nice and tried to help me. After two days trying to buy the kit and being unsuccessful I’ve given up. I will happily buy it if they start offering a PayPal option.
In the meantime, the search for a 2013 kit continues. If I can’t find a main kit in the next week or so, I’ll probably just use things from my stash. Goodness knows I have plenty of kits! Any suggestions of kits to use are welcome. 🙂
