I’m slowly getting a little mojo back after a rough few weeks. I’ve been neglecting my CT’s, so I will have a lot of catching up to do. But I’m looking forward to getting back in the swing of things.
My dad gave me a ton of old family photos from the 60’s that I can’t wait to dive into! Along with them, I got this fantastic photo from 2001 showing my grandfather and several of his cousins. This is really special because I don’t have any other pictures of them all together. (And I just realized I have the date wrong. Need to fix that!)
One of Mandy’s CT members, Rebecca, makes the most gorgeous stacked papers, which I don’t use nearly enough. As soon as I saw this one, I thought it would be perfect for this photo. I added a few ellies and journaled the names of everyone in the photo. The whole process took hardly any time at all, but I’m left with one of my favorite pages so far this year.
Y’all know I am not a pink person. But it was a lot of fun to get in touch with my girly side for this page. I even changed the alpha color to get a little extra pink in. The original alpha from the kit is multicolored. I used the color picker to choose the pink in the “p”, then created a new color fill layer on top of my title. Then I merged the two layers. The result was a little bland, so I added a “liquify” style by Mommyish that was similar to the original alpha. I am loving her styles right now!
Journaling reads- It was such a relief to get to Melissa’s house after our long drive. We took our stuff into Aaliya’s room. Melissa had warned us that it was a Hello Kitty room, but the sheer Pinkness of it was pretty great. Pink bedding, curtains, even pink walls with sparkles.. This is more color in one room than we have in our whole house!
