Beachy LO’s using Tropical by Ohana Designs

I have a weakness for beach themed kits. Posibly because I have hundreds of beach photos. 🙂

We found this tiny, nearly deserted beach tucked away in Boynton. We should really go back there one day.

This was one of my favorite days with Jason ever. (Though it started out pretty crappy). Our first trip to Key Largo was just… magical is the only word I can think of to describe it. Pretty hokey, but true.

I wish the photos were better, but these were from our old Blackberry’s I think. And you can see Jason with hair!

Swimming in Key Largo web

Journaling reads- How many people can say they learned how to swim on a beach in Key Largo? We went to Harry Harris Park, which has a rocky beach.. The water is a tidal pool and very calm. It was the perfect spot for swimming, Jason was very patient and a wonderful teacher. Luckily it wasn’t crowded., so it wasn’t too embarassing for a 30 year old flopping around in the water. trying to learn to doggy paddle. I won’t say I became an excellent swimmer that day, but that is where my love affair with the water really began. May 28, 2008

LO making spree…

I feel like the energizer bunny with LO’s this week.

This one started out to be a challenge submission, but I didn’t want to follow the rules. We’ll call this one Just for Fun.

Sept 2011 template by Crisdam Crafty by Partners in Crime

Journaling reads- My  Aunt Marsha is the crafty one in our family. You name it, she’s probably tried it. From card making to crochet. She made the blue dress in the photo for a wedding. She also repaired my mother’s wedding veil so I could wear it at my own wedding. She always has her crochet bag wherever she goes, and she’ll bring it out anytime she sits still. She is always making something for a baby shower or other event. She has made me two lovely crocheted blankets, one for my high school graduation and one for my wedding. She even made the dress I wore in my graduation. Now if I could just talk her into trying scrapbooking…

I love using big photos, but I don’t do it nearly as much as I should. Here’s one about our trip to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Journaling reads- We love going to see the Harry Potter World whenever we go to Universal. It really is magical to see the place you’ve seen in movies come to life. They did an amazing job recreating Hogwarts!

Here’s a LO for the All About Me Challenge at Scrapbook Bytes. The prompt was to write about our own personal “pot of gold”, something that we want in life.

My Pot of Gold web

Journaling reads- In Jen’s Perfect World, the people I love are healthy and happy and live closeby. But not too close. I continue to have a great marriage and we travel and have adventures together and somehow manage to be financially stable while we do so. That’s my pot of gold.

Cinderella Castle using Beautiful You Collection by Partners In Crime

I usually have a tough time with girly kits, but when I saw the castle in this kit, I knew I had great pics for it. Well “great pics” is relative. I’m looking pretty rough in these, but hopefully everyone will pay more attention to the castle parts 🙂

CT Layouts featuring Birds of A Feather contributions from Partners in Crime

Scrappity-Doo-Dah is having a fun sale this month called Birds of a Feather. A whole bunch of products with a similar theme and color palette for only $1. This time the theme is Home, and it couldn’t come at a better time for me because I still have some moving photos left to scrap.

I really loved the contributions from Partners In Crime. Their kits are always so easy to work with, but these were even more so, since I think I knocked out both of these LO’s in under an hour!

CT Layout- Palm Beach Love using My Sweet Angel by Partners In Crime

Sometimes you get one of those kits that just go so perfectly with your photos and you get that “This is going to be one of my favorite LO’s ever” kind of feelings. Yep, I had that feeling today! I’ve always loved these photos we took when Jason took me to Palm Beach for the first time, but I’ve never scrapped them before. Apparently I was waiting for this kit to be made 🙂

CT Layout- Chocolate Sculpture using Chocoholic mini by Partners In Crime

I made another LO using the PU Grab Bag from Partners In Crime. This time I used the Chocoholic mini, which was perfect for a LO about the Chocolate Festival we went to last year. 🙂 My other LO using this kit can be found here.

CT LO- You Make Me LOL by Partners In Crime… Or Embarrassing Tales From the Grocery Store

This kit is really cute… and not necessarily very many. So Of Course I had to do a layout about my man with it 😛 But he does make me LOL, especially in the grocery store. We act so ridiculous. Unfortunately when I made this LO, I couldn’t think of good journaling. And now I’m thinking of all kinds of silly things we do.

Like holding up huge vats of mayonnaise and giant cans of tuna for photo ops.
And dancing to the music from the overhead speakers.
And the time one of my coworkers said he saw us at the grocery store and I said “Why didn’t you come say hi?… oh were we doing something embarrassing?” And he kind of looked at me and I just knew we must’ve been kissing or groping or singing or dancing or something equally inappropriate. *sigh*

So maybe that LO is better off without journaling now that I think about it.

Thanks for looking 🙂

CT Layout- Camping using Nature Girl by Partners In Crime

I’m a little behind on posting my CT LO’s here, so I’m going to do one or two a day until I’m caught up.

I wasn’t sure if I would be able to do the Nature Girl kit justice. I am no fan of camping. Then I thought, why not do a page about that? And it turned out pretty cool 🙂 This is one of those LO’s that was very much inspired by Stacey Julian. I love pages that show relationships or different people’s takes on a subject.

CT Layout- Goodbye… and hello, using Dance Like… by Partners in Crime

Partners in Crime has a great new Personal Use grab bag available today at Scrappity Doo Dah.

I used the Dance Like… mini kit to make my layout.

I really love the colors in this kit. I think they go well with the plane picture. I am all over “hidden journaling” right now. I used text from this post for my journaling. I made the layout for the You Lift Me Up challenge at SDD.
