CT Layout- Spooky Wedding using October’s FWP from Scrappity Doo Dah and Joy of Life 2 by Jellebelleke

Jolanda has a new template release today called Joy of Life 2. I paired it with the October FWP Goosebumps, to make a LO bout the spooky wedding we saw on a trip to the fairgrounds in 2008.

CT Layouts

Keep In Touch Designs is releasing a lovely kit today called Wedding Chic.

My mom is going to kill me when she sees this layout. 🙂

Journaling reads… Looking back at these pictures of my mom at my wedding is so funny to me now. She did not smile once in any of the photos before the ceremony. She had this serious expression in each one. She didn’t crack a smile until after the ceremony. Then she was all smiles! I think she was more nervous than I was. After the ceremony was over she was able to relax and enjoy herself.

Also releasing today is a template pack from Dagi’s Temp-tations. They’re in her brand new store at SDD. I can see myself using these a bunch for journaling pages.

Journaling reads-

Congenital cateracts run in my family. My grandparents had them. My father had them. My sister and I both had them. There is a very high likelihood that if I have children they will have them. I had two eye surgeries before I was a year old. While my vision now isn’t terrible, it’s far from perfect. My father is rapidly losing his sight and I live with the knowledge that one day mine might go as well. I think that is part of the reason that I compulsively document things. I feel like I have a thousand stories to tell and a limited time to tell them visually. So I make hundreds of scrapbook pages and take thousands of photos. I want to capture as much as I can while I can. This is what drives me.

CT Layouts featuring Birds of A Feather contributions from Partners in Crime

Scrappity-Doo-Dah is having a fun sale this month called Birds of a Feather. A whole bunch of products with a similar theme and color palette for only $1. This time the theme is Home, and it couldn’t come at a better time for me because I still have some moving photos left to scrap.

I really loved the contributions from Partners In Crime. Their kits are always so easy to work with, but these were even more so, since I think I knocked out both of these LO’s in under an hour!

CT Layout- Miss Kitty using September’s FWP from Scrappity Doo Dah

This month’s Free With Purchase kits is one of my favorites. I love the fall colors! I used it to make this LO about Miss Kitty and her desire for my cereal for Sunday’s Speed Scrap.

Exciting News!

Okay, it’s not “that” exciting news. If it was “that” exciting news, I’d probably not blog about it until… after. Way after.

Heehee I was just complaining to Jason the other night how much I hate reading other people’s cryptic blog posts, and here I go, being deliberately cryptic.

So I will come out with it. Earlier this week I was asked to be an Admin for Scrappity Doo Dah!

I’m pretty excited, and yeah pretty nervous that I’m going to push the wrong button and cause the whole site to come crashing down. But I have a wonderful mentor who is helping me and answering all of my 5,000 questions. So far it’s been great and I haven’t had to ban anyone yet. 🙂

Also, I’m still on the lookout for a part-time job, which isn’t going anywhere so far unfortunately. So I’m a bit busier than usual and I’m shuffling around my blog schedule a little to accommodate that. Which matters to nobody except myself, I know. Just putting it out there in the world.

🙂 <– lots of these going around.

CT Layout- Palm Beach Love using My Sweet Angel by Partners In Crime

Sometimes you get one of those kits that just go so perfectly with your photos and you get that “This is going to be one of my favorite LO’s ever” kind of feelings. Yep, I had that feeling today! I’ve always loved these photos we took when Jason took me to Palm Beach for the first time, but I’ve never scrapped them before. Apparently I was waiting for this kit to be made 🙂

CT Layout- Chocolate Sculpture using Chocoholic mini by Partners In Crime

I made another LO using the PU Grab Bag from Partners In Crime. This time I used the Chocoholic mini, which was perfect for a LO about the Chocolate Festival we went to last year. 🙂 My other LO using this kit can be found here.

CT Layout- Too Cool using Boys In Charge Bundle by Snapwings

Last month was so great for me as far as CT assignments. So many boy kits and travel kits- my two favorite kinds of kits 🙂 Here’s one more great kit from Snapwings called Boys In Charge. I love the colors and the Word Art is really cute. I also used WA from Claudio from last month’s Word Art Challenge. I scraplifted this LO from tDeanna. The picture was from this summer. Note the chocolate milk mustache 😛

Thanks for looking 🙂

CT Layout- Wedding Decorations using Spring Antique by Dana’s Footprint

When I saw this kit, I knew I had the perfect photos for it. And then of course I couldn’t find them. So I went with “Plan B” and did a LO of the decorations at my wedding.

I was such a laid back bride that I gave the owner of the house free reign on decorations. I might have actually said “Surprise me”. Who does that?? Well me, apparently. But I like what they did, and when I couldn’t find any vintage photos, I knew these would be just fine for the kit. I still really want to do my original idea, so this kit will definitely be used again.

I also used the free mini kit, which you can get when you participate in the Bird Cage Challenge at SDD.
